Sherniyaz Mussakhan is a Kazakh violinist.
Cavalier of the Daryn order (2017) and a prize holder of Independent Prize «Tarlan» in Kazakhstan.
After a successful graduation of Moscow Central Music School, he continues his studies at Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne with Prof. P. Vernikov and graduates his Solo Master Diploma at Basel Music Academy with Prof. R. Schmidt.
He is a Prize winner in David Oistrah International violin competition in Moscow, Wieniawski and Lipinsky International violin competition in Poland. Sherniyaz received Kiefer Hablizel Prize in 2014 and 2017 , Nicati Prize in 2017 and Rahn Musik Prize in 2018.
Since May 2015, Sherniyaz is an Artistic Director of «Young Eurasian Soloists» (YES) Chamber Orchestra. «YES» has performed all over the Europe and participate in «Sion Music Festival». Since 2016, Sherniyaz together with «YES» chamber orchestra are invited to be artists in residence in Gstaad «New
Year Music Festival» and Basel Festival «Stars at the Rhine».
As soloist Sherniyaz has played together with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of London, Basel Symphony Orchestra, Astana Opera Symphony Orchestra. He made his Debut in the «Gstaad Menuhin Festival» in 2018 and has performed in Bolshoi Theater, Mozarteum Salzburg, Hofburg Vienna, Mariinsky Theater, The great hall of Moscow state conservatory and many other.
